18th Birthday part 2

So as you saw in the last post I have had two 18th birthdays in 3 days. My sons and my niece.

This post is all about my Nieces card.

She too has also just completed her final year of school and got an amazing ATAR and whilst studying still managed to compete in BMX competitions and Dance (for which she got best in the year as well)

So this card I wanted to try and encompass her passion and bling. I adore this card as I think we really nailed it (again with the input from Marlene).

Using some glitter paper, thinlits and embellishments we created perfection for her.

As always you can order any supplies or cards through me by emailing me on Wishing you all a happy new year. May 2018 be a safe healthier and happier year for you all :)

18th Birthday cards

Hi I am back. What a crazy year 2017 has been. My family life has been so busy. In the last few months my son graduated high school, turned 18, my daughter got elected house captain for her sports house at school and my second son got his first job and managed to get employee of the month in the first month he started.

I also had a massive order to fulfil so I wasn't online much. Hoping I will have a more online presence in 2018 though.

So with my son and niece both turning 18 within 3 days of each other I got busy making their cards. Two very different young adults so therefore very different cards.

The first born of the two was my son. He is a typical young man wanting to buy his first car and that happens to be a ute he has his eye on. What better card then than a ute. With the help of Marlene Fuller we set about making this a card to remember and never want to get rid of.

Firstly stamping the image with Veramark ink we then embossed with Black embossing powder. Heat setting it. We then coloured in the ute and cut it out. The background was stamped, blinged and coloured. We then set about the WOW factor.

By adding lights it made the car come alive. It was amazing, with the use of copper tape, diodes, button batteries and wire glue it all just came together perfectly.

All stampin up products are listed below and you can order them direct from me.

Please go to my next post to see the card I made for my beautiful neice.

Happy Crafting everyone :)

Blended family card

My Aunt asked for me to come up with a card for a family combining.  After googling ideas I loved the idea of not only having the bride and groom but also the children on the card too.

Also instead of having his and her kids I mixed the names around so they were "theirs"

I loved how it turned out as did a couple of my crafty friends and above all my Aunt that ordered the card loved it too.

Let me know what you think in the comments I would love the feedback.

and whats better than a matching envelope.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will come back again soon. Happy crafting :)

Happy 90th Queenie

What a crafty week it has been.

I have made 20 cards (12 of those christmas) and attended the Newcastle Craft show today as well with 10 of my beautiful crafty friends.

This weeks card was created for one of my mum's friends who turned 90. She was born in England and therefore nicknamed Queenie.

I wanted to incorporate the English flag, the lady herself and a crown. Mum also wanted the 6 of her friends incorporated into the card too.

I was so happy with the result. Take a look and see for yourself.

Have a great week everyone and happy crafting :)

Lollipop lollipop Oh lolli lolli lolli, lollipop, lollipop

So back in March a great friend, mentor and my upline Chloe celebrate her birthday. I wanted something different so using pinterest I searched for a design and found one I loved. Whilst making Chloe's card my daughter spotted it and exclaimed that she hoped it was her birthday card as hers was also that month, actually 2 days before Chloe's. I had already made my daughters card and it was a very different card to what I was making for my friend.. So I of course a second lollypop card was made. One was made with blue cardstock and stick and the other with pink clourings.

Using DSP, ribbon some paper doilies a sentiment and some embellishments I was so happy with the end result as was my daughter and I can only hope my lovely friend Chloe. (PS my daughter still got her original card just from her brothers and not me lol)

So I hope you like this creation and as always feel free to message me if you would like to order this or any other card. My all time favourite set ever! Now thats a big call!

Back in April we got the opportunity to attend our Stampin Up conference at Luna Park. We had an amazing time seeing fellow demonstrators from all over. It is such a great atmosphere. The excitement was tenfold as our new Annual Catalogue was previewed to us and we were overwhelmed.

My favourite amongst the whole 233 pages was this great set. Not only do we have gorgeous stamps with matching framelits but also the most gorgeous  DSP I have seen in a very long time.

The image below is from Stampwitch - Natalie Lapakko

If you would loke to order any of the above items please dont hesitate to contact me at You can find me on facebook or instagram as well.

Daffodil Delight

This week was my Mum and Dad's 53rd wedding anniversary so a special card for a special couple was in order.

I love how the card folds flat but then pops out when you open it up. They absolutely loved it.

Using the wood crate framelits and the new Daisy Punch we got to work. There were a group of us at a friends and fellow Stampin Up demonstrator's place. She gave us the crates and daisy's and left us too it. The great thing was there was no card to go by it was just all us. There were so many versions and each one so different.

Jar of Love

Hi all

I hope you have had a great week. I managed to do quite a bit of cardmaking this week and my lovely Upline Chloe lent me one of her sets "Jar of love" after making these cards at her class. After attending class I just had to have another play with this great set and it is now definitely on my wish list. It is just so versatile. I love it.

As always for any Stampin Up Products please contact me at

Have a fantastic weekend.

Stamp Out Cancer

Hi all

Well another week and been and gone, hasnt this year just flown.

In May my beautiful friend and Upline Chloe and I held a Australia's biggest morning tea. We got the inspiration at our Onstage Convention in April when I won the awesome Ribbon of Courage stamp set designed by the beautiful Patty Bennett.

The first thing I thought was this would be the perfect set for a cancer fundraiser. So Chloe and I got to planning and hosted this wonderful event and we managed to raise over $700.

Lots of fun and we had a make and take using the stampset, raffles, lucky door prize and of course yummy treats.

Below is the make and take that everyone made. We gave the ladies the option of making the card in either Bermuda Bay (Blue) or Melon Mambo (Pink).

This card below I made for a group swap that we took part in.  Our group of Stampin Up demonstrators each selected a new stamp set to highlight. We then made 6 of them and each of us got one. Its a great way to share ideas and see all the different styles of people. Instead of using the Ribbon I decided to highlight the heart in the set. Using Versamark I stamped the hearts and then heat embossed in white. I then had a spritzer with Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay and sprayed over the top of the watercolour cardstock. The effect was beautiful. It was then mounted on Melon Mambo and then placed on a Bermuda Bay cardstock.   I got this lovely card idea by the very talented Yvonne Pree.

The beautiful Ribbon of Courage stampset designed by Patty Bennett

These were made as part of our raffle.

Below are some pictures from the day. I think everyone had a great time, I know I did!

We had a great time highlighting this stampset and raising money for such a great cause. I will definitely be helping out again next year.

Have a great week everyone and happy crafting.

Nic 😊

Sending wishes your way!

After a long absence due to RL getting busy with going back to work and raising a family I am hoping I am now back to regularly craft and sharing my creations.

I have been lucky enough to have a great Stampin Up Upline and group of ladies that I learn from every day. They are a great support not only in the Stampin Up world but in my everyday life as well.

Saying that, I regularly attend classes of both Chloe Evans and Marlene Fuller and learn different techniques in every class.

This weeks card was made using the Shaving Cream technique at Marlene's class. This was so much fun and it was the first time a few of the ladies had tried it (including myself) we poured shaving cream onto a plate and added a few drops of ink (or food colouring works just as well). then we got a stick and swirled it around in the shaving cream to give us a pattern. Then using photographic paper we placed the glossy side down onto the shaving cream. The effect was amazing and every time we did it a different pattern was made.

I decided to use blue ink in my shaving cream and used that as water on my card, then I used a spritzer (in which I also added water and blue ink) and lightly covered the paper which made the sky effect. I stamped the ocean liner on white card stock and using the circle stitched framelits cut out the ocean liner, I was so happy with the end result.

Please dont hesitate to contact me if you would like a copy of the 2017/2018 catalogue or for any Stampin Up products.

Have a great weekend!
